Job summary

Jigsaw in London is seeking an embedded data privacy advisor to bridge legal and product teams. This fractional role (1-2 days per week in-office) works with our Legal team to answer data-privacy questions with practical, commercial guidance.

You'll translate complex legal and technical concepts for non-legal colleagues, advise on cross-border data transfers, and help embed privacy-by-design across projects. The work is ongoing, nuanced, and highly collaborative across global clients.

Qualifications

• UK & US privacy laws, including UK/EU GDPR and CCPA, experience applying them in live commercial contexts.
• Experience inside a tech company building product, not pure private practice.
• Comfort with cross-border data transfer questions.
• Commercial, pragmatic, solution-minded operator.
• Excellent communication with legally sophisticated clients and non-legal teams.
• High ownership balanced with genuine collaboration.
• Flexibility for a fractional working pattern.

Responsibilities

• Answer data and privacy questions across the business in product meetings and calls.
• Turn customer contract terms into practical, commercial recommendations.
• Advise on cross-border data transfers for a global client base.
• Join customer calls to speak credibly with clients' data privacy counsel.
• Translate complex legal and technical concepts clearly for non-legal teams.
• Foster a genuine privacy-by-design culture at Jigsaw.
• Spot opportunities to improve templates, playbooks, and processes.
