Jigsaw is seeking an embedded data privacy advisor to partner with product, engineering, and customer teams. This fractional role starts at roughly 2 days a week in-office, alongside our Legal Ops Associate.
You will translate legal and technical complexity into commercially actionable responses, advise on compliance for product releases, cross-border transfers, and client-specific DPAs, including AI-related questions.
At Jigsaw, we're on a mission to transform the way professional services and financial institutions work. We do this by helping our clients organise, visualise and use their data (think Figma or Canva but for the 'City'). Our clients include the world’s biggest consultancies, leading financial institutions and top law firms.
Jigsaw was founded by two seasoned entrepreneurs, Stephen and Travis. This is their second venture together; their first was acquired by a US private equity firm and went on to become a billion-dollar company and a household name in professional service firms across the world. Jigsaw is now on a growth trajectory few Series A companies achieve - putting us in the top quartile SaaS companies globally. Today we proudly serve thousands of users from nearly two hundred businesses worldwide, who love our products and use them everyday.
But we're only getting started! We have ambitious goals and we're looking for talented people to help us achieve them.
We're not about the corporate grind; instead, we thrive on creativity, enthusiasm, and a touch of humour to make magic happen.
We hire people with high ownership and a bias for action. Then we trust and empower them to do their best work.
You'll be Jigsaw's embedded data privacy advisor: the person product, engineering, and customer-facing teams turn to when a data or privacy question needs a real answer. This is a fractional role (starting at roughly 2 days a week in-office), working closely alongside our Legal Ops Associate.
The focus for this role will be translating legal and technical complexity into commercially-focused, actionable responses to help free up teams to move quickly. In practice, this could be advising the product team on what compliance actions we need to take ahead of a new product release, making case-by-case decisions for customers with unique compliance requirements, or conducting analysis on customer DPAs ahead of a change to data processing locations, right through to how to answer a client's questions about our AI features.
This isn't a standardise-everything-and-leave role. We work with customers around the world in regulated industries (legal, finance, accountancy, corporate) with varying compliance needs, where one-size-fits-all templates aren't always an option and we need to adopt a flexible approach. The work here is genuinely ongoing, nuanced, and advisory rather than a project with an end date.
If you find the letter-of-the-law side of privacy the least interesting part of the job, and you're energised instead by being commercial, pragmatic, and embedded in a fast-moving business - this is for you. You'll get real autonomy and visibility across the company, working directly with product, engineering, and customer teams, rather than being buried in reactive, box-ticking compliance work.
