Job summary

Investigo is supporting a high-growth VC-backed SaaS business seeking a Fractional CFO to partner with the Founder, leadership team and Board. You will oversee financial modelling, forecasting and long-range planning, and lead fundraising preparation across equity, debt and PE opportunities.

The role is 2–3 days per week in London with hybrid working, and involves board reporting, SaaS metrics analysis and guiding the growth strategy as the company scales internationally.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has operated as CFO, FD or senior strategic finance leader in a high-growth SaaS, software or technology business.
• Experience in VC-backed scale-ups, fundraising, US expansion and hands-on financial modelling is highly desirable.
• Prior strategy consulting, investment banking, PE or growth equity background would be attractive.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial modelling, forecasting and long-range planning.
• Prepare fundraising materials across equity, debt and potential PE scenarios.
• Own board and investor reporting to communicate performance and strategy.
• Analyse SaaS metrics, valuation multiples and commercial performance.
• Drive US expansion planning and wider growth strategy.
• Oversee outsourced finance support and build the finance function as the business scales.

Fractional CFO - ASAP Start - 2/3 days a week - London/Hybrid

High-Growth VC-Backed SaaS Business

A high-growth SaaS business, currently generating c.£5m revenue and recently completing a significant funding round, is looking to appoint a Fractional CFO to support its next phase of growth.

The CFO will act as the No.1 in Finance, partnering closely with the Founder, leadership team and Board across:

• Financial modelling, forecasting and long-range planning
• Fundraising preparation across equity, debt and potential PE
• Board and investor reporting
• SaaS metrics, valuation multiples and commercial analysis
• US expansion and wider growth strategy
• Oversight of outsourced finance support
• Building the finance function as the business scales

The ideal candidate will have operated as a CFO, FD or senior strategic finance leader within a high-growth SaaS, software or technology business.

Experience within VC-backed scale-ups, fundraising, US expansion and hands-on financial modelling is highly desirable. Previous strategy consulting, investment banking, PE or growth equity experience would also be attractive.

The role is initially 2-3 days per week, with potential to extend or develop into a permanent CFO position.
