Job summary

Consult is seeking an exceptional Fractional CFO to support a high-growth UK business through a potentially transformational period. The role starts at 1 day per week with scope to increase to 3-4 days as activity grows, for a multi-month engagement. It is not a BAU finance position.

The CFO will sit alongside the CEO and leadership team to own high-value strategic projects involving M&A, capital strategy and potential transactions, while the existing finance team handles day-to-day matters.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and potentially leading the financial work around a strategic acquisition
• Valuation, transaction structuring, diligence and negotiation support
• Helping shape the funding strategy behind the transaction
• Exploring a mixture of existing investors, new capital, strategic investment and potentially secondary liquidity
• Building the financial and investment narrative alongside the CEO
• Acting as a senior sounding board to the founders and board
• Managing investors, advisers and other transaction stakeholders
• Supporting integration planning if a deal completes
