Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter for a temporary/permanent opportunity around Harlow. The role focuses on delivering high-quality fire door, carpentry and passive fire protection works on fire safety projects.

You will install, repair and maintain fire doors, upgrade fire door sets and perform passive fire protection tasks while upholding health and safety standards. Training and support will be provided to meet accreditation needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing, maintaining and repairing fire doors.
• Strong carpentry skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of fire safety requirements and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain fire doors.
• Carry out fire door upgrade works and install certified fire door sets.
• Undertake passive fire protection maintenance and fire-stopping works.
• Perform carpentry and finishing works related to fire door installations.
• Record job updates using PDA/mobile technology.
• Work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Respond to Fire Risk Assessments findings and execute accordingly.
