Job summary

INEOS FPS North is seeking a Marine Logistics and Programme Controls Lead to shape the capability across Onshore and Offshore locations, driving safe operations, reliability and performance.

You will lead governance across contracts, manage KPI delivery, and coach teams while pursuing best practice in vessel operations (ERRV/PSV) and UKCS helicopter logistics.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in marine logistics operations in the North-East Scotland.
  • Experience in project/programme control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong decision-making and commercial awareness.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Technical knowledge of vessel operations (ERRV/PSV) and UKCS logistics.
  • Knowledge of helicopter logistics in UKCS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of asset marine logistics through management of the marine services contract.
  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy of spare vessel capacity.
  • Support vessel-based access solutions during focused campaigns.
  • Coach Team Leaders, Engineers and Specialists to drive performance.
  • Proactively manage issues, risks and interdependencies to maintain progress.
  • Ensure programmes have the right resources to deliver the strategy.
  • Own and manage performance across FPS North contracts with KPI setting and risk mitigation.
  • Report progress and issues to the Asset Manager on a regular basis.
  • Champion a culture of improvement and innovation.
  • Support adoption of new tools, processes and ideas.
  • Identify improvement initiatives to meet short- and long-term goals for delivery excellence and cost efficiency.

about the role

Reporting to the North Asset Manager, the Marine Logistics and Programme Controls Lead is responsible for leading and shaping the Marine Logistics and Programme Controls capability for INEOS FPS North in support of the Operations, Maintenance and Improvement activities of the asset at Onshore and Offshore locations of the Asset.

The Marine Logistics and Programme Controls Lead provides support to the INEOS FPS North Organisation, driving performance, accountability and alignment across teams and stakeholders. This includes establishing effective governance and optimising delivery to deliver sustainable improvements in safety, reliability and operational performance.

What does the day to day look like?

Marine Logistics

Lead the day-to-day delivery of the asset marine logistics needs through the management of the marine services contract.

Develop and implement the marketing strategy of any spare vessel capacity.

Support the day-to-day delivery of vessel-based access solutions during focused campaigns of maintenance and improvements at INEOS FPS offshore assets.

Advocate good practice, provide guidance and coaching to Team Leaders, Engineers, and Specialists.

Proactively manage issues, risks and interdependencies to maintain progress.

Ensure Programmes are equipped with the right programme control resources to deliver on expectations outlined in the Programme strategy.

Own and manage performance and behaviours across a suite of key FPS North contracts, including KPI setting, mitigation of risks and year on year performance improvements.

Report on the progress/issues of Programme Control to the Asset Manager on a periodic basis.

Champion a culture of improvement and innovation.

Support the adoption of new tools, processes and ideas.

Identify improvement initiatives, to meet short and long term business goals for programme delivery excellence and cost effectiveness.

Strong background in marine logistics in the North-East of Scotland.

Experience in project/programme control.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Strong decision-making skills, both within and out with areas of expertise.

Commercial awareness and budget management experience.

Technical Knowledge

Strong knowledge of vessel operations (ERRV and PSV) and marine logistics in the UKCS.

Working knowledge of helicopter logistics in the UKCS
