Job summary

IC Resources leads an opportunity to head an FPGA/digital design team focused on space-based 5G communications. You will own technical direction and drive high‑performance FPGA/ASIC delivery, working with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust hardware solutions.

The role blends hands-on engineering with team leadership, mentoring engineers, and shaping hardware processes for scalable, reliable products. Hybrid travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading FPGA/digital design teams.
• Expert RTL design using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Strong FPGA and/or ASIC development experience.
• Experience with DSP/high-throughput signal processing.
• Synthesis, timing analysis and hardware optimisation.
• Delivery of complex IP across full development lifecycle.
• Strong technical leadership and project delivery skills.
• Experience with 5G DSP, UVM, AMBA, PCIe, JESD or satellite communications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of FPGA technology enabling 5G connectivity directly from space.
• Take technical and managerial ownership of the digital design team and roadmap.
• Collaborate with algorithms, system architecture, software, and leadership teams.
• Mentor and coach engineers, improve design methodologies and processes.
• Contribute to customer discussions and portfolio development.
