Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an FPGA Engineer for Cambridge to join a team delivering high-performance FPGA/RTL designs for wireless platforms. You will contribute to DSP-heavy physical layer work, RTL in Verilog or VHDL, and take designs from spec through to hardware validation.

You will work alongside senior engineers, gain exposure across the product lifecycle, and develop expertise in silicon-targeted wireless technology including 5G/LTE related work and SDR concepts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial FPGA/RTL development experience.
• RTL coding using Verilog or VHDL.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx 7-Series or UltraScale+ FPGAs.
• Knowledge of DSP, including filters, FFTs, correlators, and fixed-point arithmetic.
• Understanding of simulation, synthesis, timing closure, and hardware debugging.
• Experience taking FPGA designs from specification through to working hardware.
• Must have the existing right to work in the UK.
• Experience with 5G/LTE, MATLAB, embedded C/C++, Python, or Vivado ILA would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of significant areas of FPGA design from specification through to hardware.
• Develop DSP functionality in RTL and contribute to verification and debugging.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and support the full product lifecycle from design to deployment.
