Job summary

Sapien Engineering are seeking multiple FPGA Engineers to join a defence consultancy on a contract basis. The roles are 12 months initially, inside IR35, paying up to £74 per hour.

On-site work is required, with three days per week at sites including Basildon, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bristol or Southampton. Candidates should have VHDL experience, familiarity with Xilinx/Altera/Microsemi, full lifecycle design, and exposure to Modelsim/Questasim.

Qualifications

• VHDL proficiency required for FPGA design and validation.
• Experience with Xilinx, Altera or Microsemi FPGA families.
• Ability to manage full design lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Experience with functional verification using Modelsim/Questasim.
• DxDesigner experience is highly beneficial for schematic capture.
• Strong FPGA debugging skills in a defence/aerospace context.

These are initial 12 months contracts with the view to extend, they are inside IR35 paying up to £74 per hour.

Due to the nature of the work, on site working is required, 3 days a week from any of the following sites: Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bristol, Basildon or Southampton.
