Job summary

Octagon Group in Southampton, UK is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join a specialist engineering team. You will own the FPGA lifecycle from design to verification for high-reliability products, with hands-on responsibility across development, testing, and documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in FPGA, strong VHDL/Verilog, and experience with toolchains (Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim). Desirable: SoC experience (Zynq UltraScale+), video/RF protocols, scripting skills, and security

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience as an FPGA Engineer.
• Strong VHDL and/or Verilog development experience.
• Knowledge of FPGA toolchains (Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim).
• Experience with SoC devices (e.g. Zynq UltraScale+).

Responsibilities
