Job summary

Platform Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking an FPGA & DSP Engineer for a hybrid role offering £65-85k (DOE). The role focuses on cutting‑edge FPGA and DSP work for defence, communications and sensing projects.

You’ll contribute across the full lifecycle from concept to validation, participate in design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and engage with clients on technical scoping.

Qualifications

• Strong HDL skills with the AMD Vivado toolchain.
• Solid grounding in digital signal processing.
• Experience targeting AMD (Xilinx) silicon, including Zynq SoC devices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality FPGA and DSP designs, contributing across the full lifecycle from concept through to validation.
• Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and project planning, including proposals and time estimates.
• Engage with clients on a technical level, including pre-contract scoping discussions.

My client is a leading engineering consultancy delivering exceptional innovation across defence, communications, and sensing markets, with a strong focus on translating complex customer requirements into robust, real-world technology.

• Deliver high-quality FPGA and DSP designs, contributing across the full lifecycle from concept through to validation
• Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and project planning, including proposals and time estimates
• Engage with clients on a technical level, including pre-contract scoping discussions

Technical Requirements
