Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and populate the group consolidation model.
- Help determine the optimal layout for financial reporting and issue completion notes, including briefing notes on how and when reports should be completed. These formats will be used for the annual group budget, multi-year framework process, monthly actuals presentation, forecasting, and ad hoc reports.
- Review incoming monthly reports, raise questions with parent company controllers to understand key trends and variances, and present clear analysis of reported figures to the GFC. Decide if reports need amendments and resubmission.
- Input each entity's finalised monthly actuals into the consolidation model using documented and improved automated routines.
- Process consolidation journals and ensure technically accurate consolidated financials throughout the reporting process.
- Prepare analytical and reporting materials on group performance for review by the GFC and senior leadership, utilizing PowerBI and other visualization tools.
- Provide insights and recommendations for senior management based on financial analysis and performance metrics.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a 13-week cash flow process to manage funding inflows and outflows, including foreign currency balances.
- Work with the Group Financial Accountant to align management and statutory reporting of year-end results, understanding applicable technical standards.
- Develop financial models to facilitate discussions on strategic initiatives such as new commercial models, capital expenditures, or market entries.
- Participate in selecting and implementing future data handling and consolidation tools.
- Lead and develop PowerBI usage within the Group Finance team as part of data analytics initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
Immediately available, commercially minded with a strong understanding of Financial Reporting and Statutory Finance. Must be able to commute to South Surrey.
What's on Offer
Approximately £85,000 pro-rata for 6 months (day rates possible). Hybrid working arrangement.
