The role
Works closely with FP&A managers for Property and Operations areas and reports to Head of FP&A, having overall responsibility for Group financial planning.
What you'll be doing
- Support to People Director, COO and Exec on head office performance
- Forecasting of all overheads costs / consolidated head office forecast (incl. recharging/converting to Unite share)
- Ownership of Head office(s) headcount forecast
- Impact of head office change programmes including Edison and small scale changes
- Central contact for all cost centres and business partnering at Unite
- Management of Corporate costs centres e.g. HR, IT, Finance, Directors
- Works closely with management accounting team
- Line management of one business partner, including performance management, 1-1 meetings, personal development, coaching
What we're looking for in you
- Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience in a commercial environment
- Experience with Oracle EPM preferred
- Excellent communication skills, including inspiring trust, influencing, and communicating technical financial information clearly and convincingly; adaptable for different audiences; confident presentation style
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-change environment managing multiple demands with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to develop effective relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to challenge and hold commercial teams accountable to drive performance
- Excellent analytical skills
- Empathy and responsiveness to customer needs
- Positive attitude, adaptable, willing to undertake challenging tasks
