Job summary

ARQ is seeking an FP&A Data Analyst to own the finance data layer, build and refactor models in dbt, write tests, and ensure finance data is clean, documented and reliable for leadership reporting.

You will work between Finance and Engineering, using SQL and Python, supporting budgeting, forecasting, dashboards and reconciliations while keeping data quality high and enabling self-serve analytics across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data, analytics or FP&A in fintech, banking or payments.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with hands-on dbt experience.
• Experience with version control (Git) and data modelling.
• Good grasp of financial statements, accruals and revenue concepts.
• Quantitative background with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Clear communication to explain variances to finance and engineers.
• Initiative to automate repetitive work and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance data layer: maintain and extend the dbt repo, build/refactor models, write tests, and document data.
• Develop revenue/cost models and support management accounts reconciliation.
• Contribute to budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and performance drivers.
• Maintain Python services/pipelines supporting finance reporting and reconciliation.
• Map data sources across product/payments, document logic for reuse.
• Onboard new products/markets and ensure proper financial reporting flows.
• Build and improve dashboards with Finance and Controllership to surface KPIs.
• Spot data anomalies, diagnose root causes and fix at the source.
• Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across teams.
