FP&A & Strategic Finance Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded and ambitious FP&A & Strategic Finance Lead to play a pivotal role in a high-growth, aerospace innovative business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, driving financial planning, performance analysis and key business decision-making.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on position that offers the opportunity to shape and build a scalable FP&A function from the ground up. Initially operating as an individual contributor, the role is expected to evolve into a leadership position as the business continues its growth journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance scalable FP&A processes, systems and reporting capabilities to support business growth.
• Build and maintain a robust framework for KPI tracking, performance monitoring and business insights.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the organisation.
• Manage reforecasting activities and long-term financial planning.
• Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and working capital planning.
• Deliver insightful monthly reporting, variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
• Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to support strategic decision‑making.
• Drive cross‑functional business partnering across operations, engineering, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Prepare board‑level reporting, presentations and financial analysis.
• Support fundraising initiatives, investor reporting and due diligence processes.
• Establish finance as a trusted and value‑adding partner throughout the business.

About You

• Qualified finance professional with 5+ years' experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Consulting, Investment Banking or a similar analytical environment.
• Experience within a high‑growth, technology‑led, engineering, manufacturing or industrial business would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, working capital, inventory management and cash flow.
• Proven experience operating within fast‑paced, scaling organisations.
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
• Experience implementing or optimising FP&A systems, reporting tools and automation solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
