Job summary

DJH Corporate Finance DJH Accountants Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. You’ll translate numbers into practical insights that help leaders understand where the business is heading.

You’ll deliver monthly forecasts with variance analysis, develop financial models, and support budgeting and reforecasts. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Qualified, or almost qualified, CIMA/ACCA/ACA, with FP&A experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to simplify complex data.
• Proficient in Excel; Power BI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly forecasts with variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
• Build and maintain financial models for planning and scenario analysis.
• Prepare the monthly reporting pack for senior leadership with key metrics.
• Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts.
• Collaborate with operational teams to derive actionable insights.
• Run ad hoc analysis for investment cases and strategic projects.
• Keep financial data accurate and timely within the Finance team.
• Identify better ways of working using Excel and Power BI.

As our FP&A Analyst, you’ll be the person who helps our leaders understand where the business is, where it’s heading and why. Working alongside an experienced Finance team, you’ll turn the numbers into clear, practical insight that shapes real decisions across the Group.

• Help deliver our monthly forecasts, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods, and explain what’s behind the numbers
• Build and look after financial models for business planning and scenario analysis
• Prepare the monthly reporting pack for senior leadership, pulling together the key financial and operational metrics
• Support the annual budget and our quarterly reforecasts
• Work closely with our operational teams to understand what’s driving performance, and share clear, practical insights they can act on
• Run ad hoc analysis to support investment cases and strategic projects
• Keep our financial data accurate and timely, alongside the wider Finance team
• Find better ways of working, using tools like Excel and Power BI to make our reporting quicker and clearer

• Be qualified, or almost qualified, CIMA/ACCA/ACA), with proven experience in FP&A
• Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex data
• Be confident with large datasets and financial modelling, with strong Excel skills and, ideally, some Power BI experience
• Enjoy working with people across different teams, and explain your findings clearly to non-finance colleagues
• Be tech-savvy, with good Excel skills and knowledge of financial systems
