Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking an FP&A Analyst to support UK Road Transportation and contribute to regional FP&A across Europe. You will blend hands-on financial analysis with business partnering to drive automation and data-driven insights.

The role offers a development path toward Senior Financial Analyst, with exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-country finance projects. Hybrid working and a competitive salary are provided as part of a international logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field and professional accounting qualification.
• 4–7+ years FP&A, financial controlling or business partnering experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into business insights.
• Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel preferred.

As an FP&A Analyst within Lineage's Global Integrated Solutions (GIS) business, you will play a key role in supporting the financial performance of our UK Road Transportation operations while contributing to FP&A activities across Europe, covering both Road Transportation and Freight Forwarding. Working in a matrix structure, you will combine hands‑on financial analysis with broader regional responsibilities. You will work closely with operational, commercial and finance teams to understand business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and turn financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. This is more than a reporting role. You will have the opportunity to challenge existing ways of working, improve processes and help move FP&A towards more automated, scalable and data‑driven solutions. The role also offers a clear development path towards a Senior Financial Analyst position, with increasing ownership and business partnering responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close, reporting and financial performance analysis for UK Road Transportation.
• Analyse revenue, margins, operating costs, headcount, fleet expenses and productivity.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and performance reviews.
• Investigate financial and operational variances and provide recommendations.
• Support budgets, forecasts and long‑range planning.
• Monitor key operational and financial KPIs and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand business drivers and translate them into financial insights.
• Support business cases, investment reviews and capital expenditure analysis.
• Contribute to European reporting and FP&A activities across Road Transportation and Freight Forwarding.
• Consolidate and analyse country results and support regional forecasting.
• Develop profitability and performance analysis by customer, country, business line and service.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reporting and planning processes.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards, financial models and self‑service reporting solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, forecast accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance teams across Europe and contribute to regional strategic planning initiatives.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
• Experience improving or automating financial reporting and processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across functions and countries.
• A proactive, curious and commercially minded approach, with a willingness to challenge existing processes.
• Experience with Power BI and advanced Excel is preferred.
• Experience in a multinational, matrix or operationally intensive environment is an advantage.
