Job summary

pladis Global is seeking an Accounting Manager within FP&A to own the UK&I month-end close and SG&A accounting, ensuring timely delivery and strong financial discipline. The role leads the offshore Management Accounting team and manages the FP&A Analyst responsible for Direct Marketing spend.

You will partner with HR and IS to monitor actuals and forecasts, apply sound accounting judgement, and uphold a robust controls framework across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong technical understanding of P&L accounting and month-end close.
• Experience owning close processes in a complex organisation.
• Experience leading offshore/shared-service teams.
• Ability to translate accounting detail into clear outcomes for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own UK&I month-end close for SG&A with ownership of SG&A accounting.
• Lead day-to-day close activities and manage offshore Management Accounting team.
• Maintain P&L integrity, controls, and auditable documentation.
• Partner with HR and IS to challenge actual vs forecast spend and explain variances.
• Provide leadership and coaching to FP&A analyst for Direct Marketing spend.
