Qualifications

Job Overview:

Group Reporting Accountant (FP&A and Internal Control)

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Group FP&A Team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing and reporting costs across the Group, while also contributing to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

The successful candidate for this role will support the delivery of high-quality reporting and analysis for senior management. You will be expected to meet strict reporting deadlines on a monthly, quarterly and half-yearly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and analysing monthly overhead costs including employee and programme spend.
  • Reporting and analysis of monthly management information packs, board reporting, including KPIs.
  • Developing reports and dashboards for key budget holders.
  • Analyse financial information and present findings to management with detailed budget variance analysis and commentary to provide insights on financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with key budget holders across the business to develop detailed annual operating plans and rolling forecasts.
  • Administer the Group Planning Tool (Oracle EPM) coordinating inputs across the finance teams, and working with the wider FP&A team and the business to enhance the forecasting tool and associated processes.
  • Perform other ad-hoc financial tasks as required, ensuring the smooth functioning of financial operations.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA professionally qualified with at least 3+ years post qualification experience.
  • Strong background in management accounting and/or FP&A role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to work efficiently and prioritise your workloads in a fast-paced environment, delivering a high level of accuracy and attention to detail within tight timeframes.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement within processes and procedures and identify continuous improvements for the team.
  • A self-starter who can work on their own initiatives with minimal supervision and escalate matters when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with both co-workers and external stakeholders.

Location & Workplace Type:

This position takes on a Hybrid working model, based in Newry, Northern Ireland.
