Role Overview – Manufacturing Foundry Operator

Luxfer MEL Technologies is a leading global provider of Magnesium and Zirconium-based products and services to industries worldwide. Our innovative solutions contribute to enhancing lives, improving safety, and boosting productivity across various sectors.

We are a dynamic and forward-thinking organization with around 300 employees across the UK and US.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operating both semi-automated and fully automated melting and casting equipment.
2. Safely handling molten metal.
3. Monitoring production processes and recording data.
4. Maintaining safety within production areas.
5. Packing finished goods into containers for transport, including the use of Forklift Trucks (counterbalance).
6. Conducting quality checks and analyses to ensure product standards.
7. Assisting in identifying and resolving production challenges.

The Package

• 6-12 month temporary contract.
• Salary range dependent on qualifications and shift pattern (£26,106 - £42,703).

Requirements – Manufacturing Foundry Operator

• Experience in an operator role within a heavy industrial foundry environment.
• Prior foundry experience is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong safety awareness with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in IT.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment with long working hours.
• Keen eye for quality and attention to detail in all aspects of production.
• An up-to-date Fork Lift Truck license is advantageous but not essential.
