Job summary

The Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Group is recruiting a Factory Operative to join a busy foundry team in Medway. You will support aluminium casting operations, including melt preparation, mould handling, and manual pouring of molten metal in an industrial setting.

Working Monday–Thursday 06:00–16:30 (40 hours per week) with a four-day week and long weekends. Competitive hourly rate of £12.86, permanent full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in factory, manufacturing, foundry or production environments preferred.
• Ability to follow production instructions and safety procedures.
• Comfortable with physical/manual work in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the casting process from preparation through to removal and handling of finished castings.
• Prepare melts prior to casting and clean/wash moulds before casting.
• Manually pouring molten aluminium and moving moulds after casting.
• Carry out knock-out duties and ensure safe handling of materials; maintain records in internal systems.
