Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Caster for a busy manufacturing site in Bloxwich. The role covers metal casting, furnace operation, tilting and hand pouring, with a focus on producing high-quality castings in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a four-day week with an early finish every Thursday, enjoying ongoing work with the potential for a permanent position in a supportive team. The site emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• Previous foundry, casting, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with furnace operation, tilt pouring, or hand pouring would be advantageous.
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out metal casting using traditional foundry methods
• Operating and monitoring furnaces safely and efficiently
• Tilting furnaces and pouring molten metal by hand
• Producing castings to required quality standards
• Completing general foundry and production duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Following all health and safety procedures
