Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a curious, high-ownership Software Engineer for an early-stage AI startup building a real-time workforce coordination platform. You will ship production-grade backend systems in Python/TypeScript and own cloud deployments, with travel of about one week per month as ownership expands.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience, hands-on production shipping, and comfort working with founders and customers in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on ability with Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services, infrastructure, deployment systems or applied ML products.
• Evidence of personally shipping software into production and operating it safely.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to reason critically about unfamiliar problems.
• Comfort balancing backend development, deployments and live customer feedback simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Build production-grade backend systems using Python and TypeScript.
• Develop reliable, event-driven infrastructure for real-time workflows.
• Own cloud infrastructure, deployments, observability and production reliability.
• Apply ML and AI to complex coordination and decision-making problems.
• Take projects from ambiguous problems through architecture, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Work directly with founders and customers to understand operational challenges and ship practical solutions.
• Travel approximately one week per month as engineers gradually take ownership of deployments.
