Job summary

Agincare is opening a new Children’s Residential Home and seeks caring Residential Care Workers. You'll provide compassionate support to children with learning disabilities, helping them feel safe and valued, while embracing a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Full training is provided, with progression pathways, enhanced DBS, pension, and a range of employee benefits. Evening, weekend, and sleep‑in shifts are included in the role, fostering a meaningful career in child care.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training and support provided.
• Willingness to obtain NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support daily routines – meals, school runs, play, and bedtime.
• Assist with care plans and risk assessments after training.
• Respond calmly to challenging behaviour using a therapeutic approach.
• Participate in a sleep-in rota as required.
