Olive Recruit seeks an experienced Ofsted Registered Home Manager to lead a brand-new 4/5-bed EBD children’s home in Birmingham. You will shape culture, drive compliance, and build a team from day one with strong support from a Responsible Individual.

You will oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, and engagement with authorities while delivering high-quality care and development for children.

Formación

• Ofsted qualification (e.g. Level 3 Diploma in Childcare) and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
• Minimum 1 year of managerial experience in a childcare setting; minimum 2 years in residential childcare.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily operations of the children's care facility in line with regulations and standards.
• Lead quality assurance, including Regulation 45 reports, audits, and improvement plans.
• Monitor incidents, complaints, and outcomes for children; ensure safeguarding policies.
• Develop engaging programmes to support children's development.
• Oversee staff induction, supervision, and performance in line with safer recruitment.
• Maintain communication with parents, caregivers, and external agencies.
• Represent the home in meetings with local authorities and safeguarding partners.
