Job summary

Referment is partnering with a venture-backed AI startup to hire a senior engineer to own features from problem to production. You’ll work directly with the founders and ship both backend and frontend with a focus on performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in engineering, strong Python backend skills (FastAPI/Django/Flask), React experience, and a track record of OSS contributions. You’ll join early and influence product and engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in engineering.
• Strong Python backend fundamentals with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• React experience or willingness to work across the frontend.
• Verifiable track record of technical contributions (OSS/GitHub).

Responsibilities

• Own products end-to-end from problem to production.
• Design complex backend architecture and systems.
• Ship React interfaces.
• Build internal developer tools and agentic consoles.
• Improve databases and systems programming.
• Debug production and deploy continuously.
