Job summary

SOLR AI is seeking a founding engineer to join the leadership team in London. You will turn a platform into a contract-ready, observable, and secure system capable of onboarding enterprise clients, with a focus on reliability and scalable architecture.

You will work directly with Anna, the CTO, to architect end-to-end solutions, deploy production ML, and ship multi-tenant authentication, observability, and benchmarking to meet SLA requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong backend fundamentals; evaluate API design and pick the right approach.
• Experience shipping and operating a real product in production.
• Data engineering judgement for pipelines over external data feeds.
• Took a deep learning model from prototype to production deployment.
• Engineering discipline: testing, code review, secrets management, cloud-native by default.

Responsibilities

• Harden the core pipeline against failure with timeouts and retries.
• Build out CI/CD, structured logging and alerting.
• Design and ship multi-tenant API authentication.
• Own data engineering across the pipeline: ingestion, schema, geospatial queries.
• Build automated testing and ground-truth benchmarking.
• Engage with design partners and enterprise clients during onboarding.
• Shape architecture decisions with the CTO for enterprise security reviews.
