SOLR AI is seeking a founding backend engineer to turn a production-ready platform that can support enterprise contracts behind it. You will own end-to-end data engineering, authentication, and deployment, working directly with the co-founder and CTO to shape architecture and scale for national scale.

The role emphasizes building reliable, observable, secure by default systems, with hands-on ownership of live production pipelines and ML components alongside Anna.

Qualifications

• Shipped and operated a real product in production.
• Experience with data pipelines and external data feeds.
• Deployed deep learning models to production.
• Strong testing, code review, and error-handling practices.
• Cloud-native by default and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Turn a platform that works into a production-ready platform with contracts behind it.
• Own data engineering across the pipeline: ingestion, schema design, geospatial queries.
• Design and ship multi-tenant API authentication for design partners and enterprise clients.
• Build automated testing and benchmarking to validate accuracy claims.
• Collaborate with design partners and enterprise clients during onboarding and integration.
