HelmGuard in London is building governance and security infrastructure for autonomous AI agents. You will own the backend for the agent platform, responsible for cost, performance and reliability of the agents we ship. On day one, you’ll push improvements to evals and security primitives while aligning with our roadmap.

This is mainly an engineering role with some scope for focused research. You should have run agents in production and be ready to ship production workloads, not just prototype

Qualifications

• Backend engineering with TypeScript on production-scale projects.
• Experience with agent frameworks, tool calling, multi-step orchestration.
• Proficient in building and evaluating AI security primitives.
• Strong systems thinking: async, queues, idempotency.

Responsabilités

• Agent scaffolding: tool use, context management, sandboxing, prompt-injection defence.
• Evals for security and GRC workflows.
• Reliability infrastructure: retries, fallbacks, circuit breakers, prompt versioning.
