Job summary

Mistral in London seeks a founding engineer for the Applied AI SRE team. You will design and operate a framework to ensure reliable, scalable delivery across all accounts, Mistral-hosted or customer-hosted, aligning with operational excellence and scale.

You will work in four concurrent modes: BUILD, RUN, ENABLE, SECURE, delivering productized reliability, strong on-call discipline, and robust security controls across fleets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, production engineering, or DevOps with tooling shipping.
• Strong multi-tenant Kubernetes fluency, namespace segmentation, network policy, RBAC, and scale.
• On-call discipline with blameless post-mortems.
• Observability stack in production: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki, Tempo, Signoz.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Proficient in Python and/or Golang for tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a fleet‑level framework to ensure reliable, scalable delivery.
• Run Tier‑1 customer environments and manage on‑call and incidents.
• Productize deployment, security baselines, and automation.
• Lead security operations and CVE response for deployed fleets.
