Job summary

Tyne Coast College is seeking a committed lecturer to join our Foundation Studies team, delivering Level 1 Information Technology and non-accredited programmes.

Based primarily at Tyne Metropolitan College, you will plan engaging, learner-centred sessions for learners with SEND, monitor progress, collaborate with families and external professionals, and uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or willing to work towards.
• A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Recent SEND-related knowledge, training or experience.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• A Level 5 teaching qualification, assessor qualification or internal quality assurance qualification would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, learner-centred sessions for Foundation Studies.
• Lead delivery of Level 1 IT and non-accredited courses.
• Plan, coordinate and assess learner progress toward EHCP outcomes.
• Collaborate with families, carers and external professionals.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment.
