Job summary

Activate Learning is seeking a Foundation Sport and Public Services Teacher to join the Lifeskills faculty at Reading College. You will deliver foundation level sessions to 16–19 learners, including careers, wellness and digital topics, plus vocational pathways.

The post is permanent, part-time (18.5 hours/week, 0.5 FTE) based at Reading College. Ideally Tue–Thu, but flexible for the right candidate, with induction and ongoing professional development provided.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in FE or similar setting is an advantage.
• Ability to work with learners facing barriers to education.
• A genuine interest in developing young people.

Responsibilities

• Teach 16–19 learners foundation level including careers, wellness and digital sessions.
• Deliver vocational pathway sessions as part of Lifeskills.
• Support learners to transition back into education and unlock potential.
• Participate in induction and staff development programs.
