NHS Scotland is recruiting for a Foundation Programme Director to oversee the S06 programme (FY1 & FY2) across the South region. The role supports education, training, and supervision of trainees, and will be based within a remote-friendly setup across the UK.
The post is part-time (1 PA, 4 hours per week) on a fixed-term/secondment basis for 36 months, with potential to combine with educational or clinical supervision responsibilities.

Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
This will be across 1 PA of time (1PA = 4 hours)
The Foundation Programme Director will be responsible for managing a Foundation Programme (S06 - FY1 & FY2) and the education and training needs of each individual on the programme.
All programmes have been created in the South region as part of the permanent expansion of F1 and F2 Foundation posts. The S06 FPD post is an existing post to manage the programme and is open to permanent staff (Consultant, GP or SAS doctor). Accountable to the Postgraduate Dean or appropriate Associate Postgraduate Dean, applicants will be expected to have Recognition of Trainer status and will contribute, in partnership with the existing FPDs to the formal Foundation teaching programme. It is possible to combine the role with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.
Resident doctors / doctors in training are not eligible to apply for this post.
