Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Fostering Support Worker to join our Fostering Team across the county. You will deliver tailored support visits, run groups and activities, assist with training and manage a caseload using a relationship-based approach underpinned by PACE.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent, have experience supporting vulnerable children and families, and be prepared to travel across Wiltshire.

Fostering Support Worker

Do you want to make a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable children in Wiltshire? We are looking for a dedicated Support Workerto join our Fostering Team, providing practical and therapeutic support to children in care and foster carers across the county. The successful candidate will deliver tailored support visits, run groups and activities, assist with training and manage a caseload using a relationship-based approach underpinned by PACE. You'll also have opportunities to develop your skills through PACE and Life Story Work training.

You will hold an NVQ Level 4 qualification, or equivalent experience and have experience supporting vulnerable children and families. You will have knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding and child protection, alongside strong communication and relationship-building skills. A flexible approach and willingness to travel across Wiltshire and occasionally beyond are essential. Join our supportive team and help children and foster families achieve positive outcomes.
