Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in social work or equivalent required.
• Current Social Work England registration is mandatory.
• Significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified social worker.
• Experience working in a fostering service and completing fostering assessments for panel presentation.
• Based in Scarborough with an initial 6-month placement offered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of prospective foster carers and present these evaluations to the panel.
• Support and supervise foster carers to ensure high standards of care for children and young people.
• Work closely with children and families to provide professional guidance and interventions.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's welfare.
• Maintain case records with accurate and timely updates.
• Engage in regular training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
