About the Team:
The Fostering and Kinship Support Team at Warwickshire County Council is a dedicated, countywide service based in Warwickshire, England. This dynamic team is at the forefront of children’s social care, playing a pivotal role in the national transformation of services under the Government’s ‘Stable Homes, Built on Love’ strategy. As a Pathfinder authority in the Families First for Children programme, Warwickshire is leading the way in piloting innovative models for family help, child protection, and multi-agency safeguarding.
Specialising in the recruitment, assessment, training, and support of foster carers, the team ensures that children and young people are placed in safe, nurturing environments. They also provide tailored support to families under Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs) and kinship care arrangements.
Grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-based practice and supported by in-house psychologists, the team uses frameworks such as ARC and DDP to guide their work. Their collaborative, forward-thinking approach is backed by a strong Ofsted rating and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

This role requires employees to undergo Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV). This process ensures that individuals who are not police staff but have physical or remote access to police premises, information, intelligence, financial, or operational assets are assessed for their reliability and integrity. This assessment determines their suitability for clearance to work within police premises.
