Job summary

Southend City Council is looking for a full-time, permanent Recruitment & Kinship Fostering Team Manager. The role involves managing a team dedicated to recruitment and training of foster carers while ensuring the diverse care needs of local children are met.

As Team Manager, you will oversee Advanced Practitioners and Supervising Social Workers, chair meetings, and adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to keep children's needs at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Must work in the UK and be registered with Social Work England.
• Experience working with children and families, fostering, and adoption.
• Knowledge of social work intervention methods and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, assessment, and training of foster carers.
• Supervise a team of social workers and support staff.
• Chair meetings and ensure multi-disciplinary approaches.
