Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a part-time Fostering Social Worker to join the Kinship Support team in Gloucestershire. The role focuses on private fostering assessments and ensuring safe, supportive care arrangements for children.

This post offers a permanent contract, hybrid working with a base at Shire Hall, and a generous reward package including relocation and welcome payments, generous leave, LGPS, and access to the Social Work Academy.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
• DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children’s).
• To have completed your ASYE year (if you qualified after 2012).

Responsibilities

• Undertake private fostering assessments and monitor private fostering arrangements including homes for Ukraine and other private arrangements.
• Provide ongoing support to Foster Carers with supervision and training needs.
