Job summary

Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the Foster South-East London initiative. The role focuses on planning, delivery, and measurement of outcomes across multiple partners and grant conditions.

You will manage complex projects, monitor budgets, and report to senior leaders. This is a secondment or fixed-term opportunity, offering collaboration across Children’s Services and external organisations, with a strong emphasis on improving services for children

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing and delivering complex programmes or projects, preferably grant-funded.
• Experience developing and maintaining programme plans with milestones, budgets and funding requirements.
• Strong partnership and relationship-building across services and external organisations.
• Ability to identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies to keep delivery on track.
• Experience using data and performance information to monitor progress and demonstrate impact.
• Excellent communication to present complex information clearly to senior leaders and funders.

Responsibilities

• Provide programme management oversight for Foster South-East London.
• Ensure projects are well planned, deliverable on time and within budgets.
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and grant conditions; escalate and resolve blockers.
• Prepare high-quality reports and updates for boards and funders.
• Collaborate across Children’s Services and partners to drive improvements and outcomes.
