Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a part-time training coordinator to develop and deliver training for foster carers and Supported Lodgings hosts. The role requires identifying needs, commissioning courses within budget, and maintaining accurate records including Mosaic for annual reporting.

You will work with colleagues across the Fostering Service to ensure engaging, relevant training that meets statutory requirements and supports children in care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with challenging children and vulnerable young people.
• Knowledge of child development and differing needs of children and carers.
• Understanding of trauma and its impact on development.
• Strong organisational, planning and recording skills.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with children, carers and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs of foster carers and hosts through consultation.
• Commission suitable training within budget and track invoices.
• Maintain electronic records of training and Mosaic data.
• Provide 1 to 1 support and group sessions as required.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to deliver annually updated programs.
• Attend meetings and contribute to service objectives.
