Oldham Council is seeking dedicated individuals to join the Stepping Forward to Foster Care program in Oldham. The role involves welcoming a child or young person from residential care into a loving foster family and supporting their development.

We offer an enhanced financial package (£78,000 per annum) plus tailored training, ongoing therapeutic support, education assistance from the Virtual School, and a strong team with supervision from a social worker who will be with you every step of the

Qualifications

• Becoming a Stepping Forward carer is a full-time role.
• Experience working with children and adolescents with complex backgrounds.
• Team-based role with supervision from a supervising social worker.

Responsibilities

• Welcome a child or young person from residential care into a foster family.
• Support a child’s development and well-being within the foster arrangement.
• Collaborate with the fostering service and clinical psychologist as needed.
