Job summary

Ikuto in Central London is seeking Forward Deployed / Agent Deployment Engineers to help scale our AI agent deployments for enterprise clients from our 100% in-office hub.

You will own end-to-end technical lifecycles, write production Python scripts and REST-based integrations, and collaborate with senior client stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical plans. A CS degree and London residency are preferred.

About the Opportunity

We're searching for Forward Deployed / Agent Deployment Engineers to join one of Silicon Valley’s highest-velocity enterprise AI scale-ups as they build out their core EMEA footprint in Central London.

Our client isn't building chatbots, copilots, or thin wrappers. They build autonomous, enterprise-grade AI agents that execute complex workflows, take direct system actions, and handle millions of real-time interactions for global brands like Hertz, Chime, Duolingo, Avis, and Square.

Up until now, AI agent deployments have been handled directly by core product software engineers and PMs. As demand accelerates across global enterprise accounts, they are standing up a dedicated Agent Building & Deployment Engineering Org. Sitting under Product leadership, this team owns the hands-on technical execution, custom script building, and deployment of production AI agents.

What You’ll Do

• End-to-End Execution: Own the full technical lifecycle of AI agent deployments for strategic enterprise clients, from initial technical scoping through launch and iteration.
• Agentic Workflows & Tooling: Write, configure, and maintain production Python scripts and agentic workflows (aOPs) built on top of the core platform.
• API & System Integrations: Set up, test, and validate deep integrations with customer runtime stacks (CRMs, ticketing engines, data pipelines) using REST APIs.
• Client-Facing Engineering: Interface directly with senior technical stakeholders on the customer side to translate business requirements into technical implementation plans.
• Guardrails & Evaluation: Configure and validate guardrails to ensure safe, predictable, and compliant agent performance across complex edge cases.
• Product Feedback Loop: Work closely with core Product Managers and Software Engineers to feed real-world deployment insights back into the core platform roadmap.

What We Are Looking For

• Technical Background: Strong hands-on coding foundation in Python. You must be comfortable working with REST APIs, building integrations, and debugging your own code.
• Experience: 2–10 years of experience in a customer-facing technical delivery role (e.g., Forward Deployed Engineer, Customer Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant).
• Academic Pedigree: A Computer Science, Engineering, or Math degree from a Top-10 UK/Global CS university (Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, Edinburgh, Manchester, Warwick, Bristol, KCL, etc.) or equivalent proven technical shipping record.
• Communication & Polish: Exceptional, structured communication skills. You thrive presenting technical architecture to C-level client executives as easily as you write backend scripts.
• Location: Must already reside locally in/around London and be aligned with a 5-day in-office work culture.
