Job summary

People Hive is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to enable the deployment and operation of AI solutions in enterprise production environments. You will bridge software, infra and customer teams to ensure scalable, secure AI systems, collaborating with customer engineering, security and operations to deliver reliable deployments.

The role requires 3–8 years in software/infrastructure, strong Kubernetes, cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and excellent English.

Qualifications

People Hive is supporting a client in the search for a highly skilled Forward Deployed Engineer to facilitate the successful deployment and operationalisation of AI solutions within enterprise production environments.

This role serves as a critical bridge between advanced AI technology and real-world application, requiring a blend of software engineering, infrastructure expertise and customer-facing communication. The successful candidate will collaborate directly with customer engineering, security and infrastructure teams to implement scalable, secure and reliable AI systems, in an environment where engineers solve complex infrastructure challenges at the forefront of the AI industry.

Critical Requirements

• 3–8 years of experience in software, infrastructure, platform or solutions engineering
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Proven customer‑facing experience working with engineering, security or compliance teams
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Fluent English communication skills
• Availability for twice-weekly evening meetings to align with an international team

Important Requirements

• Previous experience in a startup, technology consulting or modern cloud infrastructure environment
• Ability to build deployment automation, Helm charts, scripts and runbooks
• Experience leading technical planning, solution architecture and production readiness reviews

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• Experience with Generative AI, LLM applications or AI infrastructure
• Knowledge of AI deployment, evaluation and observability platforms
• Experience with identity and access management solutions (OIDC, SAML, Keycloak, Entra ID, Okta)
• Background in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare or government
