Job summary

Ernst & Young is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Developer to join our team. You will design, develop and implement AI agents and automation tools that drive innovation and transform business processes.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, building LLM agents, testing agent behaviour, and integrating AI with enterprise systems while leveraging Power Platform and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI developer or in a similar role, with a portfolio of projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control.
• Knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and automation tools to solve complex problems and improve business processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Build and orchestrate LLM agents, including prompt design, grounding and retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Test and evaluate agent behaviour, including handling uncertainty and non-deterministic outputs.
• Integrate AI tools with enterprise systems via APIs (Graph, REST, SQL, SharePoint).
• Develop cloud native skills on Azure and AWS and understand their AI offerings.
• Support live products and triage defects with real users.
• Document code, processes and methodologies for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
