Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. in Featherstone (WF7) is seeking a reliable Personal Assistant to support an active individual with a spinal cord injury. The role covers a regular 24-hour shift every two weeks, from Thursday 7:00 AM to Friday 7:00 AM, with potential to extend hours in the future.

The position offers £17.25 per hour, with full 1:1 training before independent shifts and a supportive team environment. £17.25/h rate applies to all shifts within the fortnightly rota.

Qualifications

• Non-smoker
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
• Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to a 7:00 AM start in WF7
• Calm, respectful, detail-oriented with good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and follow established daily routine precisely
• Prior spinal cord injury/hoist care experience is a plus; training provided

Responsibilities

• Personal care and morning/evening routines with dignity
• Assistance with transfers and mobility using a ceiling track hoist (full training)
• Bladder and bowel management
• Domestic duties including cleaning and meal preparation
• Assisting with daily tasks, errands, and social activities
