Job summary

Alpro is looking for a Formulation Operator to oversee blending processes and ensure safe, efficient production.

You will manage startup/shutdown, monitor equipment, and maintain records of production statistics and quality standards. Ability to work nights and weekends is required, with strong English communication and experience in food manufacturing.

Qualifications

• GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Be able to communicate in written and verbal English.
• Experience in working in food manufacturing environment.
• Awareness of food allergen and basic food hygiene.
• Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office.
• Desirable: FLT licence; HACCP trained; COSHH trained; Conversant with CIP (Clean In Place) processes.

Responsibilities

Short Intro and About the Job

We currently have an opportunity for a Formulation Operator.

The function of a Formulation Operator is to oversee the blending (formulation) process of the semi-finished product so planned work continues in a safe and productive manner. You will be required to follow-up on transport on inbound/outbound delivery of products. Maintain food safety and process quality and yield standards. Start-up and shutdown the manufacturing plant. Able to read and understand P&IDs and trace process lines. Conduct regular stock takes. You will be required to record production statistics, monitor equipment operation and record accurate information on a daily basis.

About You

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative, have strong communication skills, be able to prioritise, solve technical and complex problems and be able to work nights and weekends.

The following qualifications/skills are required:

• GCSE standard or equivalent
