Live Wire is looking for AV technicians to join our travelling team, working closely with clients such as Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Using cutting-edge equipment, our technicians are required to have a broad overview of multiple events, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. Technicians need to work under pressure to deliver above clients' expectations, always looking to improve the equipment, event, and team.
Responsibilities include meticulous care and management of equipment, proactive involvement in packing procedures to ensure safe shipping, ongoing maintenance throughout the season, and prompt action on damages or repairs.
Technicians are responsible for writing comprehensive race reports, offering detailed insights into the build, scheduling, equipment usage, and sustainability tracing following each event. It’s important to deliver these reports timely and distribute them to relevant parties.
We’re looking for AV technicians to encourage our junior team members to feel confident in event build and operation, exemplifying superior work standards. This includes working closely with the wider operations, production, project, and finance teams to ensure each race is delivered seamlessly and improvements are made ahead of the next weekend.
We are seeking AV Technicians who can commit to a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
● Operate high-profile shows, working alongside world-class drivers and musicians.
● Produce comprehensive production schedules and kit lists for clients and crew.
● Write debriefs for management and clients after each race, including action points and improvement ideas.
● Maintain equipment, report damages, and take necessary actions.
● Self-manage and motivate while working independently.
● Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients.
● Communicate effectively with the wider team on track and back in the UK.
Requirements:
● 5 years experience working within events of varying demand.
● Specialist in lighting, sound, or AV, with the confidence to understand and manage all aspects of a project.
