Job summary

Stafforce-Recruitment in Retford is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. You will operate industrial vehicles to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise, ensuring inventory is handled safely and efficiently.

Working hours are Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, with 4 on 4 off rotation 6am-6pm. Candidates must hold a valid forklift license and have at least 1 year of forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse, with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Certification: Valid forklift license/certification (OSHA-compliant or local equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year operating standard forklifts in warehouses or industrial settings.
• Safety: Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and load balancing techniques.
• Attention: Ability to read order sheets and track inventory locations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to safely move materials across the facility.
• Load and unload goods from trucks and containers and stack them in designated areas.
• Locate and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment; keep inventory records.
• Assist in order picking and ensure items match picking tickets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free workspace following 5S or local safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Operation:Operate forklifts to safely move materials across the facility.
• Loading & Unloading:Efficiently load and unload goods from incoming vehicles (trucks, shipping containers) and stack them in designated areas.
• Inventory Control:Locate and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Keep accurate records of cargo shifts and inventory counts.
• Order Picking:Assist in pulling and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring items match the picking tickets perfectly.
• Warehouse Organisation:Maintain a clean, organised, and hazardous-free work environment by adhering to 5S or local safety standards.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Certification:Proven experience as a forklift operator with a valid, current forklift driving license/certification (OSHA-compliant or local equivalent).
• Experience:Minimum of 1 years of experience operating standard forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or industrial setting.
• Safety First Mindset:Deep understanding of warehouse safety regulations, weight capacities, and proper load-balancing techniques.
• Attention to Detail:Ability to read order sheets, identify part numbers, and accurately track inventory locations
