Job summary

The Best Connection Bedford is recruiting a Production/Forklift Operative to join their team. You will work in a yard/production environment moving materials, operating equipment, and carrying out quality checks. A valid 5 tonne Counterbalance licence is preferred, and rotating day/night shifts are required.

Pay is £15 per hour with overtime at £20.19 per hour after 46 hours, with a friendly team and opportunities for pension and holiday accrual.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred with valid licence.
• Ability to perform quality checks on products.
• Manual handling and outdoor work in all weather.
• Willingness to work rotating days/nights.
• Adherence to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to manufacture building/landscaping materials.
• Move stock and equipment using a Counterbalance forklift.
• Maintain yard/production site and warehouse housekeeping.
• Complete health and safety checks and documentation.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
