Job summary

The Best Connection Bedford is recruiting for a Production/Forklift Operative to join their friendly team. This role involves moving building/landscaping materials around the yard and requires a valid 5 tonne Counterbalance licence.

Shift Pattern: Mon-Thu 06:00-18:00. Pay is £15.00 per hour with overtime at £20.19 per hour after 46 hours. Pension option available after 3 months. Must be able to commute to shift location.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with production team to hit targets.
• Perform quality checks on products as directed.
• Manual handling, heavy lifting, and working outside in all weather.
• Commit to rotating shift pattern (days/nights).
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
• Hold an accredited, in-date 5 tonne Counterbalance licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment to manufacture building/landscaping materials.
• Maintain yard/production site and warehouse housekeeping.
• Complete health and safety checks and records as required.
• Ensure duties meet standards and production targets.
• Operate Counterbalance forklift to move stock safely.
